WAMPO Safety Plan Survey

WAMPO places a high priority on road safety in the region.  Road safety, however, is a shared responsibility between communities, families and individuals, government agencies, local government and many other organizations.

While mobility is crucial for the economic, social and cultural well-being of our region, we are currently paying too high of a price for the transportation system in terms of road safety. Road crashes place a heavy burden on the regional economy, families and individuals.  Improvements in road safety are needed to reduce this overall social cost, as well as enhance the economic development and productivity of the region.

WAMPO is undertaking a regional Safety Plan in order to address how safety in the region can be improved and the number of road crashes reduced.  A Safety Task Force, consisting of safety stakeholders in the region such as local law enforcement, has been assembled to guide the development of the Safety Plan.  In order to better identify and understand the safety issues and concerns in the region, WAMPO is asking that you fill out a Safety Survey.  The results from the survey will distributed to regional safety stakeholders and will be incorporated into the regional Safety Plan and the region's long range plan, the Metropolitan Transportation Plan (MTP) 2035.
