Over 298 projects were submitted for inclusion into the MTP 2035. However, there will not be enough funding available over the next 25 years to cover all of those projects. Hence, projects need selected that can be listed in the eligible for funding list.
The Transportation Policy Body endorsed the the following lists created by the MTP-PAC:
How were projects picked to be included?
- Four scenarios, or packages of projects, were created: Initial, Fix the Problems, Transit / Operations & Maintenance, and Mega Projects.
- A survey was created to get community feedback on their favorite scenario.
- Over 50% of survey respondents picked Fix the Problems as their favorite scenario. Click HERE for complete survey results. Thank you to everyone that participated in the survey!!
- The MTP-PAC reviewed the results and created a project list that includes all projects in the initial scenario, the three added projects in the Fix it Scenario, and all projects that had a score of 27 or more.
