WAMPO's Public Participation Plan (PPP) is critical to successful transportation planning in the region.  The PPP is an update to WAMPO’s Public Involvement Plan (PIP), which was approved in February of 2005.  This plan incorporates many updates that WAMPO believes will improve public participation and public understanding of the transportation planning process.  Key public involvement improvements in this plan include: holding any public meetings at convenient and accessible locations and times, consulting with an expanded list of interested parties, increasing the use of the internet, and improved visualization techniques. This plan also addresses several topics such as: environmental justice, media strategies, public comment periods, public hearings, and major WAMPO plans and programs.
