Metropolitan Transportation Plan 2035

WAMPO is in the process of updating the long range transportation plan for the region. It is called the Metropolitan Transportation Plan (MTP) 2035. The MTP 2035 is essentially the transportation blueprint for any and all regionally significant transportation projects.

Get Involved!
The transportation network is essential to everyone's daily activities--that is why WAMPO needs your input. There will be many opportunities throughout the planning process to provide input and stay updated.

Round 1: Where We Are: Spending Strategies

In January 2009, WAMPO went around the region asking for input on spending strategies for transportation funds. For more information and to see results from Round 1, click on the link above.

Round 2: Where We Want to Go: Vision, Goals, Objectives, and Strategies

Building off of information obtained in Round 1, the Project Advisory Committee worked together to form a vision, goals, objectives, and strategies for the plan.

In addition, surveys on different forms of transportation were available to gather information on preferences, trends and needs for the region. Information from this survey is intended to help inform the written sections of the plan.

Round 3: How We Will We Get There: Project Selection
