Round 1:  Spending Strategies

Purchasing power for transportation projects will be significantly limited in the years covered by the Metropolitan Transportation Plan 2035.  Presently the projects costs from an incomplete list are more than double the expected revenues over the next twenty-five years.  Due to the decrease in purchasing power, and the limited funds, the region will have to prioritize projects.

In order to make the most realistic plan, the MTP must be fiscally constrained.  In otherwords, the costs of projects that are included in the plan can not exceed the expected revenue.  Due to financial challenges, it will be neccessary to prioritize projects.

Survey results are in:

How satisfied are you with the existing transportation system?  What should the future priorities be?  What criteria should be considered when selecting projects?  What types of projects should transportation funds be used for? Find out how people in the region answered these questions.

We would like to thank everyone who filled out our surveys and / or attended an open house.
