Kristen Zimmerman, Senior Transportation Planner, joined WAMPO in January 2010 from Tucson, Arizona where she worked at the Tucson regional Metropolitan Planning Organization for over six years in the Watershed Planning department and in the Data Services department. She specialized in developing land use GIS data and demographic/land use forecasting. Prior to that, she worked for an environmental drilling firm based in mid-central Kansas and interned with the National Geographic Society in Washington, D.C. Kristen received her Associate’s degree in Environmental Engineering Technology from Kansas State University – Salina, her Bachelor’s of Science degree in Geography from Kansas State University, and her Master’s of Arts degree in Geography from the University of Arizona.
