Kimberly Spielman is a native Kansan.   She obtained her bachelors degree in English from the University of Kansas.  After working in the non-profit sector for several years, Kimberly returned to school and completed a Masters degree in Geography at the University of Montana in Missoula.  During her studies, Kimberly gained a strong background in GIS and community and environmental planning.  She was part of a Montana Food Systems research group that conducted a study on the University’s Farm to College program. She completed her thesis on food supply chains in December 2007.  Kimberly accepted the position of Transportation Planning Analyst with the Wichita Area Metropolitan Planning Organization in July 2008.
